Description

Introduction

ALDH1L1 catalyzes the conversion of 10-formyltetrahydrofolate, NADP, and water to tetrahydrofolate, NADPH, and carbon dioxide. The encoded protein belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenase family and is responsible for formate oxidation in vivo. Deficiencies in this gene can result in an accumulation of formate and subsequent methanol poisoning.

Western blot analysis of anti-ALDH1L1 Antibody (C-term) (Cat# 102-17654) in mouse liver tissue lysates (35ug/lane). ALDH1L1(arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma tissue reacted with ALDH1L1 antibody (C-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.
