Description

Introduction

Autophagy is a process of bulk protein degradation in which cytoplasmic components, including organelles, are enclosed in double-membrane structures called autophagosomes and delivered to lysosomes or vacuoles for degradation. ATG12 is the human homolog of a yeast protein involved in autophagy (Mizushima et al., 1998 [PubMed 9852036]).

Western blot analysis of anti-APG12 Monoclonal Antibody (Cat# 102-10046) by APG12 recombinant protein. APG12(arrow) was detected using the purified Mab.
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma tissue and lung carcinoma tissue reacted with APG12L Monoclonal Antibody (Cat# 102-10046), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human lung carcinoma tissue reacted with APG12L Monoclonal Antibody (Cat# 102-10046), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.
Atg12 antibody tested in HEK cells. Fixed in PFA permeablilized with 0.2% Saponin. Blocked and antibodies in 10% goat serum. Secondary was mouse 555. The right is in full medium (FM) and the left with EBSS (no leupeptin)(Provided by Nicole McKnight & Sharon Tooze).
