BCL-2 (B-cell lymphoma 2), encoded in humans by the BCL2 gene, is the founding member of the BCL-2 family ofregulator proteins that regulate cell death (apoptosis), by either inducing (pro-apoptotic) or inhibiting (anti-apoptotic) apoptosis.BCL-2 is specifically considered as an important anti-apoptotic protein and is thus classified as an oncogene.
Storage
The antibody is stable for at least 1 year from the date of receipt when stored at -20°C to -70°C. Reconstituted antibody can also be aliquotted and stored at 4°C for 1 month or at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer for many months without detectable loss activity. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
