Bcl-2 (B-cell lymphoma 2), encoded in humans by the BCL2 gene, is the founding member of the Bcl-2 family of regulator proteins that regulate cell death (apoptosis), by either inducing (pro-apoptotic) it or inhibiting it (anti-apoptotic). Bcl-2 is specifically considered as an important anti-apoptotic protein and is thus classified as an oncogene.

The antibody is stable for at least 1 year from the date of receipt when stored at -20°C to -70°C. The reconstituted antibody can be aliquotted and stored at 4°C for 1 month or at -20°C to -70°C for many months without detectable loss of activity. Please avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
