Anti-Bovine Granulysin Antibody, Biotinylated

Granulysin is also called as Lymphokine LAG-2, Protein NKG5 and T-cell activation protein 519.The protein has been found in many species. It is belonged to antimicrobial protein because it can kill intracellular pathogens, including Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, fungi, and parasites. Currently, one of the most interesting antimicrobial activities associated with granulysin is the ability to directly kill mycobacteria. In contrast to other antimicrobial peptides, such as defensins, granulysin is confined to the cytotoxic granules of NK cells and T lymphocytes. Bovine Granulysin, consisting of 146 amino acids is one of attractive anti-pathogen candidates.

The antibody is stable for at least 1 year from the date of receipt when stored at -20°C to -70°C. Reconstituted antibody can also be aliquotted and stored at 4°C for 1 month or at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer for many months without detectable loss activity. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Rabbit anti-Bovine Granulysin antibody can specifically detect the synthetic peptide, but not unrelated peptides and proteins. Cross reactivity with other species has not yet been tested.
