Description
Apoptosis occurs during normal cellular development and involves dramatic changes in cellular structure. Disruption of apoptosis may contribute to cancer as well as other autoimmune diseases. Caspase family of cysteine proteases has been shown to play a key role in apoptosis. Caspase-8 is a 28 kDa member of the peptidase C14A family of enzymes. It is widely expressed and is considered an initiating caspase for the apoptotic cascade. It serves as a functional subunit, interacting with TRAF2 and activating NF?B. This may account for many of the non-apoptotic activities associated with Caspase-8.

Storage/Stability
Store at 4°C if intended for use within one month, otherwise, store at -20°C to -80°C. The lyophilized antibody is stable for at least 18 months after the date of receipt when stored at -20°C to -80°C. After reconstitution, it can be aliquoted and stored frozen at -20°C to -80°C in a manual defrost freezer for at least 6 months without detectable loss of activity. Upon reconstitution, the antibody can also be stored for 1 month at 4°C. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles, as this will lower the activity of the antibody.
