Description
Specificity
The molecular weight of the recognized antigen is 160 kDa. Reacts with glycoprotein Ib on megakaryocytes and platelets. Inhibits the ristocetin-dependent binding of Von Willebrand factor to platelets and ristocetin induced platelet agglutination. Inhibits platelet aggregation induced by Type I collagen and platelet activating factor (PAF). Immunoprecipitates the components of glycoprotein Ib complex.
Storage/Stability
Store lyophilized product at 2-8 °C. After reconstitution, aliquot and store at -20 °C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. The addition of 0.1% (w/v) sodium azide is recommended for storage of the reconstituted form for up to 1 month at 2-8 °C.
