Description
CD5 is a cluster of differentiation found on a subset of IgM-secreting B cells called B-1 cells, and also on T cells, which can play a role as a regulator of cell death and as a receptor for pathogen associated molecular patterns.
Storage / Stability
The antibody is stable for at least 1 year from the date of receipt when stored at -20°C to -70°C. Reconstituted antibody can also be aliquotted and stored at 4°C for 1 month or at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer for many months without detectable loss activity. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity
This antibody binds to its immunogen, and did not show any cross reactivity with unrelated antigens in ELISA. Cross reactivity with mouse and rat CD5 has not been tested yet.
