ClonalityPolyclonal
Immunogen
The imunogen was a recombinant protein. This antibody was produced from a rabbit immunized with the immunogen. The IgG fraction was purified from rabbit serum followed by Protein A/G affinity chromatography.
IsotypeIgG
Recommended ApplicationsELISA (recommended work dilution= 1:160, 000), Western Blotting (recommended work dilution= 1: 1, 000-5, 000), (see image) Immunodetection Analysis: Representative blot from a previous lot. Lane 1, recombinant protein HCG-beta. The membrane blot was probed with antiHCG-beta primary antibody (0.2 µg/ml). Proteins were visualized using a Donkey anti-rabbit secondary antibody conjugated to IRDye 800CW detection system. Arrows indicate recombinant protein HCG-beta from E.coli cell (18kDa).
Reconstitution
A separate vial of dilution buffer is provided for reconstitution. The antibody is supplied lyophilized, originally containing PBS, without preservative stabilizers (e.g. sodium azide). The final amount is indicated on the shipping vial.

Description

Description

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin beta (CG-beta), a subunit of chorionic gonadotropin of which promotes the maintenance of the corpus luteum during the beginning of pregnancy, causing it to secrete the hormone progesterone.

Storage / Stability

The antibody is stable for at least 1 year from the date of receipt when stored at -20°C to -70°C. Reconstituted antibody can also be aliquotted and stored at 4°C for 1 month or at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer for many months without detectable loss activity. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity

This antibody binds to its immunogen, and did not show any cross reactivity with unrelated antigens in ELISA. Cross reactivity with mouse and rat CG-beta has not been tested yet.
