Size50 µg
Estimated Lead Time1-2 business days
SpeciesHuman
Host SpeciesMouse
ClonalityMonoclonal
Immunogen
Immunogen was recombinant protein derived from Human FABP1. This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with the immunogen. The IgG fraction of tissue culture supernatant was purified by Protein A/G affinity chromatography.
IsotypeIgG1
Recommended ApplicationsELISA (recommended work dilution= 1: 40, 000)
Reconstitution
A separate vial of dilution buffer is provided for reconstitution. The antibody is supplied lyophilized, originally containing PBS, without preservative stabilizers (e.g. sodium azide). The final amount is indicated on the shipping vial.

Description

Description

Fatty acid-binding protein 1 (FABP1) also known as liver-type fatty acid-binding protein (L-FABP) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the FABP1 gene.FABP1 encodes the fatty acid-binding protein found in liver. Fatty acid binding proteins are a family of small, highly conserved, cytoplasmic proteins that bind long-chain fatty acids and other hydrophobic ligands. FABP1 and FABP6 (the ileal fatty acid binding protein) are also able to bind bile acids. It is thought that FABPs roles include fatty acid uptake, transport, and metabolism.

Storage / Stability

The antibody is stable for at least 1 year from the date of receipt when stored at -20°C to -70°C. Reconstituted antibody can also be aliquotted and stored at 4°C for 1 month or at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer for many months without detectable loss activity. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity

This antibody binds to its immunogen, and did not show any cross reactivity with unrelated antigens in ELISA. Cross reactivity with mouse and rat FABP1 has not been tested yet.
Expiration:
12 months from the date of shipment when stored properly.
