Catalog #: RB-10-0007

Mouse Anti-Human-C-myc-Tag Antibody

Product Description

Specifications

Size20 µg, 100 µg, 200 µg, 500 µg
Estimated Lead Time1-2 business days
SpeciesHuman
Specificity
Myc-Tag antibody detects fusion recombinant proteins derived from a variety of sources at various concentrations. No cross reactivity was found with other epitope tags in ELISA or Western Blot.
ClonalityMonoclonal
Immunogen
Conjugated peptide with sequence EQKLISEEDL was used as immunogen. This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with the immunogen. The IgG fraction of tissue culture supernatant was purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Recommended ApplicationsELISA (recommended work dilution= 1:1000-5000), Western Blotting (recommended work dilution= 1-2 µg/ml)
Reconstitution
Lyophilized mouse anti-Myc Tag antibody is stable at 4°C and below -18°C. Supplied as 100 µg of purified antibody. Reconstitute with sterile water. If 1 ml of water is used, the antibody concentration will be 100 µg/ml. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Shipping TypeAmbient temperature
Storage-20°C

Description

Description

Plasmid vectors are commonly used for the expression of hybrid fusion proteins, encoding a protein of interest fused to an epitope tag. Antibodies specific for such fusion protein tags are useful for monitoring expression of the protein of interest, both in cells and in Western blot analysis. Such epitope tags in common use include Myc, GST, His, HA and GFP.

Typical Data

Recombinant protein: TFF3 myc/FC 0.2 mg/ml | Secondary Ab: Mouse | Exposure: 5 sec | Expected MW (kDa): 51

Recombinant protein: Cat. #230-00580 c-MYC Protein | Secondary Ab: Mouse | Exposure: HDR4 | Expected MW (kDa): 51

Storage/Stability

Lyophilized samples are stable for at least a year from date of receipt when stored at -20° C to -70° C. Upon reconstitution, the antibody can be stored at 2° - 8° C for at least a month without detectable loss of activity. Minimize freezing and thawing.

Expiration

12 months from the date of shipment when stored properly.
