Description
FOXP3, a 50-55 kD transcription factor, also known as Forkhead box protein P3, is a member of the FOX protein family. FOXP3 functions as a master regulator of the regulatory pathway in the development and function of regulatory T cells. Regulatory T cells negatively regulate the immune response. FoxP3 is the main gene and specific marker of regulatory T cells. Overexpression of FOXP3 has been shown to lead to a hypoactive immune state suggesting that this transcriptional factor is a central regulator of T cell activity.
Recommended Usage
Each lot of antibody has been tested by flow cytometry staining. We suggest use ≤ 0.5 µg per million cells in 100 µl volume of staining buffer. Researchers are recommended to further titrate this antibody at the optimal concentration for each specific application.
Storage / Stability
Keep the lyophilized antibodies at -20 °C. Once reconstituted with PBS, store at 2 °C - 8 °C for less than 3 weeks or freeze at -20°C for long term storage. Please limit freeze and thaw cycles.
