Human PBMCs were stained with BV450 CD3, then were stained with either Biotin Mouse Anti-Human HLA-DR antibody (#136-01087, solid histogram), or Purified Mouse Anti-Human HLA-DR antibody (#136-00087, dashed histogram), followed by PE-streptavidin. HLA-DR was gated on CD3 negative population.
Description
MHC class II molecules are a class of major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules normally found only on antigen-presenting cells such as dendritic cells, mononuclear phagocytes, some endothelial cells, thymic epithelial cells, and B cells. HLAs corresponding to MHC class II are HLA-DP, HLA-DM, HLA-DOA, HLA-DOB, HLA-DQ, and HLA-DR. MHC cass II interacts with T cell receoptor complex and present antigenic peptide to activate CD4 T cells. These cells are important in initiating immune responses. This antibody recognizes HLA-DR, a heterodimeric cell surface glycoprotein comprised of a 36 kD α (heavy) chain and a 27 kD β (light) chain.
Recommended Usage
Each lot of antibody has been tested by flow cytometry staining. We suggest use ≤ 0.5 µg per million cells in 100 µl volume of staining buffer. Researchers are recommended to further titrate this antibody at the optimal concentration for each specific application.
