Immunogen
Immunogen was whole expressing mouse IL-15. This antibody was obtained from a mice immunized with the immunogen, then fusion, selection and identification. This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a myeloma with B cells deriveded from the immunized mouse. The IgG fraction of cell culture supernatant was purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.

Description

Description

IL-15 is produced largely by dendritic cells, monocytes, andstromal cells. The IL-15R complex consists of three chains, IL-15R , IL-2/15Rbeta, and C chains. IL-15 binds the endogenous IL-15R chain expressed by IL-15-producing cells and is trans-presented to the complex of IL-2/15Rbeta and C chains with the signaling capacity expressed on T cells. The recognition of IL-15 by the latter receptor chains leads to the activationof various signaling pathways including JAK1 and 3/STAT5 aswell as PI3K/AKT. IL-15 has diverse functions that include promoting cytotoxicity and maintenance of memory CD8+ T cells as well as proliferation and differentiationof NK and NK T cells.

Specificity

The antibody specifically detected protein derived from human. It also recognizes tested samples containing IL-15 in both ELISA and WB. This antibody shows no cross-reactivity with mouse, rat IL-15 and other unrelated proteins.

Storage

Always prepare single-use aliquots planning use while receiving package. A small amount of antibody can be kept at 4°C for daily use. For a long storage, recommend to keep them at -20°C after adding an equal volume of glycerol in PBS. It will not lose activity over a year. Minimize freezing and thawing when use.
