Description

Introduction

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the MAP kinase family. MAP kinases, also known as extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERKs), act as an integration point for multiple biochemical signals, and are involved in a wide variety of cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, transcription regulation and development. The activation of this kinase requires its phosphorylation by upstream kinases. Upon activation, this kinase translocates to the nucleus of the stimulated cells, where it phosphorylates nuclear targets.

Western blot analysis of anti-MAPK1 Antibody (Center) Pab (RB11609) in Hela, 293, and HepG2 cell line lysates. MAPK1 Antibody (Center)(arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human lung carcinoma tissue reacted with MAPK1 Antibody (Center)(Cat# 102-17211), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.
MAPK1 Antibody (Center) (Cat# 102-17211) flow cytometric analysis of HepG2 cells (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.
