ClonalityPolyclonal
Immunogen
The imunogen was a recombinant protein. This antibody was produced from a rabbit immunized with the immunogen. The IgG fraction was purified from rabbit serum followed by Protein A/G affinity chromatography.
IsotypeIgG
Recommended ApplicationsELISA (recommended work dilution= 1: 16000), Western Blotting (recommended work dilution= 1: 1, 000-5, 000), (see image)Immunodetection Analysis: Representative blot from a previous lot. Lane 1, recombinant protein MMP10. The membrane blot was probed with antiMMP10 primary antibody (0.2 µg/ml). Proteins were visualized using a Donkey anti-rabbit secondary antibody conjugated to IRDye 800CW detection system. Arrows indicate recombinant protein MMP10 from E.coli cell (55kDa).
Reconstitution
A separate vial of dilution buffer is provided for reconstitution. The antibody is supplied lyophilized, originally containing PBS, without preservative stabilizers (e.g. sodium azide). The final amount is indicated on the shipping vial.

Description

Description

Matrix metalloproteinase 10 (MMP10) is a member of a large family of structurally related matrix metalloproteinases, many of which have been implicated in tumor progression, invasion and metastasis by degrading the extracellular matrix. The proteins of the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as in disease processes. MMP10 has been linked to cancer stem cell vitality and metastasis.

Storage / Stability

The antibody is stable for at least 1 year from the date of receipt when stored at -20°C to -70°C. Reconstituted antibody can also be aliquotted and stored at 4°C for 1 month or at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer for many months without detectable loss activity. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity

This antibody binds to its immunogen, and did not show any cross reactivity with unrelated antigens in ELISA. Cross reactivity with mouse and rat MMP10 has not been tested yet.
