ClonalityPolyclonal
Immunogen
This antibody was produced from a rabbit immunized with the KLH-conjugated peptide derived from human Mammglobin as immunogen. The IgG fraction (lyophilized antibody) of immunized serum was purified by affinity chromatography.
Recommended ApplicationsELISA (recommended work dilution= 1:10e4), Western Blotting (recommended work dilution= 1:500-1000)
Reconstitution
Supplied as lyophilized purified antibody. The antibody is stable for at least a few years from the data of receipt when stored at -20°C to -70°C. Reconstituted antibody (recommended with H20 1 mg/ml) can also be aliquoted and stored frozen at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer for months without detectable loss activity. Upon reconstitution, the antibody can be stored at 4°C for 1 month. If 1 ml of H20 is used, the antibody concentration will be 100 µg/ml. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Description

Description

Mammaglobin (MAM) is a member of the secretoglobin superfamily, which also includes uteroglobin (Clara cell protein; Clara cell 10 kDa protein), lymphoglobin, and the lipophilins A, B (BU101), and C (lacryglobin; mammaglobin B). In human breast tissue, mammaglobin is secreted as a glycosylated peptide, which is covalently associated with lipophilin B. Mammaglobin, a mammary-specific member of the uteroglobin family, is known to be overexpressed in human breast cancer. It has been used as a specific molecular marker for breast cancer diagnosis. Mammaglobin is expressed mainly by breast epithelial cells, and this feature has been used to detect circulating breast cancer cells and occult metastases in sentinel axillary lymph nodes of breast cancer patients.

Specificity

The antibody detects specifically target derived from human protein by ELISA and Dot Blotting. Cross reactivity with mouse and rat are not tested yet.

Storage

Store at -20°C, if not intended for use within a month, Keep it at 4°C and minimize freezing and thawing when use.
