Anti-Neuropeptide B Antibody

Neuropeptide B (NPB) is an endogenous peptide ligand for G protein-coupled receptor-7 (GPR7; MIM 600730). It may be involved in the regulation of feeding, neuroendocrine system, memory, learning and in the afferent pain pathway, by similarity. The deduced 125-amino acid prepropeptide contains an Nterminal 24-amino acid secretory signal and 2 diarginine (dibasic) motifs that are potential peptideprocessing sites. In rat, high expression was detected in lymphoid organs, central nervous system (CNS), mammary gland, and uterus. In situ hybridization of rat brain detected expression in hypothalamus and hippocampus.

This antibody specifically binds to human NBP. Cross reactivity with mouse and rat NPB was detected.

Store at 4°C if intended for use within one month, otherwise, store at -20°C to -80°C. The lyophilized antibody is stable for at least 18 months after the date of receipt when stored at -20°C to -80°C. After reconstitution, it can be aliquoted and stored frozen at -20°C to -80°C in a manual defrost freezer for 6 months without detectable loss of activity. Upon reconstitution, the antibody can also be stored for 1 month at 4°C. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles, as this will lower the activity of the antibody.
