Anti-PAI-1 Antibody

Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor 1 (PAI-1)Also known as SERPINE1, a 45kDa serine protease inhibitorand member of the serpin family, which acts as the primary inhibitor of tissue plasminogen activator(tPA) and urokinase plasminogen activator (uPA), and hence fibrinolysis. Increased levels of PAI-1 areassociated with diabetes, cardiovascular disease and an increased occurrence of thrombosis in obesity,and can be induced by obesity related factors including insulin, glucose and VLDL (very-low-densitylipoprotein).

Rabbit Anti-Human PAI-1 antibody detects a target derived from a human recombinant PAI-1 protein aswell as selected cell lysates. Cross reactivity with mouse and rat PAI-1 was not determined.

Store at 4°C if intended for use within one month, otherwise, store at -20°C to -80°C. The lyophilizedantibody is stable for at least 18 months after the date of receipt when stored at -20°C to -80°C. Afterreconstitution, it can be aliquoted and stored frozen at -20°C to -80°C in a manual defrost freezer for atleast 6 months without detectable loss of activity. Upon reconstitution, the antibody can also be storedfor 1 month at 4°C. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles, as this will lower the activity of the antibody.
