Specificity
Specific to the proMBP subunit of heterotetrameric PAPP -A (htPAPP-A; PAPP-A/proMBP). Human PAPP-A antigen purified from placental blood is a heterotetrameric complex, consisting of two PAPP -A subunits and two pro-MBP subunits). Human PAPP-A antigen purified from atherosclerotic plaques is homodimeric consisting of 2 PAPP-A subunits.
