Catalog #: 130-10004

Mouse Anti-Human PTEN Antibody

Product Description

Specifications

Size20 µg, 100 µg, 200 µg, 500 µg
Estimated Lead Time1-2 business days
SpeciesHuman
Specificity
This antibody was selected for its ability to detect human PTEN. In ELISA and Western Blot, this antibody showed specifically binding to human recombinant protein, and there was cross-reactivity with tested proteins from other species.
Accession Number
P60484
Gene Id
5728
Gene Symbols
PTEN MMAC1 TEP1
ClonalityMonoclonal
Immunogen
Immunogen was recombinant protein derived from human PTEN. This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with the immunogen. The IgG fraction of tissue culture supernatant was purified by Protein G/A affinity chromatography.
Recommended ApplicationsELISA (recommended work dilution= 1: 1, 000-5, 000), Western Blotting (recommended work dilution= 1: 1, 000-2, 000), Immunohistology -paraffin (recommended work dilution= 1:50-100)
Antigen Catalog Number
230-10071
Reconstitution
Supplied as lyophilized and purified antibody originally containing PBS, without Preservative Stabilizers, such as Sodium Azide. The final concentration is indicated on the shipping vial. The antibody is stable for at least years from the data of receipt when stored at -20°C to -70°C. Reconstituted antibody (recommended with H20 1 mg/ml) can also be aliquoted and stored frozen at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer for months without detectable loss activity. Upon reconstitution, the antibody can be stored at 4°C for 1 month. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Description

Description

PTEN, phosphatase and tensin homolog (TEP1), is a dual specificity protein/3-lipid phosphatase that functions as a tumor suppressor and negative growth regulator. Inactivation of PTEN is associated with a variety cancers including glioblastoma, melanoma, and prostate, breast, and endometrial cancers. The PTEN gene product is a putative protein tyrosine phosphatase that is localized to the cytoplasm and shares extensive homology with the cytoskeletal proteins tensin and auxilin.

Typical Data

Cell lysate: Hela | Secondary Ab: Mouse | Exposure: HDR | Expected MW (kDa): 47

Storage/Stability

Store at -20°C, if not intended for use within a month, keep it at 4°C and minimize freezing and thawing when use.

Expiration

12 months from the date of shipment when stored properly.
