Description

Introduction

Nonvoltage-gated, amiloride-sensitive, sodium channels control fluid and electrolyte transport across epithelia in many organs. These channels are heteromeric complexes consisting of 3 subunits: alpha, beta, and gamma. This gene encodes the alpha subunit, and mutations in this gene have been sociated with pseudohypoaldosteronism type 1 (PHA1), a rare salt wasting disease resulting from target organ unresponsiveness to mineralocorticoids.

	Western blot analysis of SCNN1A Antibody (Center) (Cat# 102-18036) in WiDr cell line lysates (35ug/lane). SCNN1A (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.
	Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human lung carcinoma reacted with SCNN1A Antibody (Center), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.
