Description
RayBiotech's carboxyl terminated Mono Mag magnetic beads of various diameters (1 µm, 3 µm and 4.5 µm) are now available in an easy-to-use kit format to enable researchers to conjugate proteins/ligands of their own choice to these magnetic beads. Attribute to the large surface area, uniform size, narrow size distribution and unique surface coating of the Carboxyl Mono Mag (4.5 µm, MC), the kit exhibits high binding capacity and low non-specific binding of protein or nucleic acids. 8CMK-4.5 contains sufficient reagents & components for performing at least 5 conjugation reactions. All componets in the kit have been autoclaved. Briefly, the magnetic beads are activated using carbodimide and N-hydroxysuccinimide followed by conjugation to amino groups that are present on the target protein/ligand. The recommended protocol has been used to successfully conjugate bovine serum albumin, streptavidin or immunoglobulin to these magnetic beads.
