Copper is an essential trace element. Copper Assay Kit provides a simple, reproducible, and sensitive tool for measuring copper concentration in plasma, serum, cell lysates, saliva, urine, and other biological fluids without deproteinization of the sample. Dissociated copper from the complex by weakly acid buffer and reduced from Cu2+ to Cu+. The copper ion then reacts with 3, 5-DiBr-PAESA to form a purple complex which has a maximum absorption peak at 580 nm. The color intensity is proportional to the amount of copper present in the sample.
