Custom Antibody Array

Need to build your own analyte panel? Choose from 8,000 target proteins for human, 1308 mouse, 1500 rat, and up to 500 for other species. Now you have access to 4 different assay formats, including the largest available library of highly specific, validated antibody pairs. To obtain a quote, simply select the desired targets from the protein list linked below and fill out the custom array request form. If you are not able to find your target protein of interest, you may also send in the antibody for us to print.

Membrane, Glass Slide, and Cytometric Bead-based Arrays

RayBiotech offers 3 types of array solid supports: which one is right for you? When deciding which multiplex array format to use, consider what detection equipment you have:

  • Membrane-based Array: Chemiluminescent imager (CCD camera or x-ray film/dark room)
  • Glass Slide-based Array: Laser microarray scanner
  • Bead Array: Flow cytometer

Your custom arrays will be developed within 4-6 weeks of ordering, and packaged into a kit with all necessary reagents, a protocol, and an Excel-based analysis tool to quickly analyze the results.

Please note: There may be an existing array that has most (or all) of your preferred targets. Thus, before deciding on a custom array, we recommend using our advanced search filters to search our vast selection of pre-made arrays based on your proteins of interest.

For our membrane-based arrays, any chemiluminescence imaging system such as an X-ray film developer, CCD camera, or gel documentation system should work. Imaging systems using near-infrared flours, such as the Li-Cor Odyssey and Typhoon systems, also work extremely well with our membrane arrays.

For the glass slide-based arrays, a gene microarray laser scanner is needed. A list of specifications and compatible laser scanners can be found here:

Send your slides to us and we can scan them for you. We will provide you with the scanned image (TIF file) and the densitometry values with full analysis. Learn more about our scanning services here:

Scanning and Data Analysis Services

Most of our arrays are compatible with any biological fluid. This includes cell culture media, cell lysates, tissue lysates, and all clarified body fluids (serum, plasma, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, BAL, saliva, tears, etc.)

The exceptions are the label-based arrays (L-Series), which have limited compatibility with lysates and non-serum/plasma body fluids. Our phosphorylation arrays, which detect membrane-bound receptors, are only validated for use with cell and tissue lysates.

In general, any cell-free extract that contains soluble, non-denatured proteins is likely to work with our arrays.
