C3a is an anaphylatoxin derived from proteolytic degradation of complement C3 that increases vascular permeability and causes histamine release from mast cells and basophilic leukocytes.
This product recognizes recognizes a C3a-determinant which is present also on native C3. This product allows discrimination of ubiquitous or nonspecifically bound native C3 from biologically active C3b fragment, C3b or C are negative with this product.
This product is reported to block C3a functional activity.
Prior to reconstitution store at +4 °C.
After reconstitution store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 12 months after receipt.
