RayBiotech has developed ready-to-use PCR assays for the detection of Mpox virus (MPXV) DNA. Fluorescent probes and specific primer sets allow for accurate real-time PCR analysis without cross-reactivity with other Orthopox viruses.
Ready-to-use PCR assay for the detection of both Clade I and Clade II Mpox virus DNA. It uses two sets of specific primers and probes in different fluorescent channels to detect the C3L gene for Clade I and G2R gene for Clade II.

Positive control contains 102 copies/µL of MPXV Clade II G2R Synthetic DNA (Red color, FAM channel), 102 copies/µL of MPXV Clade I C3L Synthetic DNA (Purple color, Cy5 channel) and fixed amount of RNase P template (Blue color, TAMRA channel). 5 µL positive control were added to 15 µL of master mix and amplified in a QuantStudio™ 5 Real-Time PCR machine.

Serially diluted Mpox Virus synthetic genomic DNA and fixed amount of Human RNase P DNA was spiked in VTM solution and mixed with equal volume of 1-Step Nucleic Acid Stabilization Buffer. Five microliter of the DNA-spiked sample that contains 104 , 103 , 102 , 10, 5, 2.5 and 1.25 copies/µl of Mpox Virus Synthetic Genomic DNA (MPXV, blue color) and fixed amount of RNase P template (RP, green color) were added to 15ul of master mix and amplified in a QuantStudio™ 5 Real-Time PCR.
Ready-to-use PCR assay for the detection of Mpox virus (MPXV) DNA in a liquid sample. It uses a fluorescent probe with specific primer sets to detect the J2R gene specific for the genome of MPXV.
