This product detects a band of approximately 13kDa in mouse pancreas tissue lysate.
This product detects Harakiri (HRK), also known as DP5. HRK is a BH3 only protein of the Bcl-2 family, which promotes Bax dependent apoptosis. HRK regulates apoptosis through its interaction with the anti-apoptotic proteins Bcl-2 and Bcl-XL, and in conjunction to the mitochondrial pore forming protein p32. HRK is thought to have a specific role in initiating neuronal and hematopoietic cell apoptosis, in particular to growth factor deprivation.
Aberrant methylation of HRK is frequently detected in primary colorectal cancers. Despite its predicted molecular weight, HRK often migrates at 12-15kD.
Store at +4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
If stored in this manner, this product is stable for 18 months after receipt.
