8SV-600 are streptavidin conjugated, water soluble core/shell quantum dots. The monolayer of streptavidin that is covalently coupled to their surface makes most of the biotin binding sites sterically available for binding of biotinylatedmolecules such as protein, DNA and peptide. It's highly recommended that the monobiotinylated molecules which have only one biotin linked to each biomolecule, is used to link to 8SV-600. Otherwise, 8SV-600 tends to aggregate.
