Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), is a protein secreted by macrophages, T cells, mast cells, endothelial cells and fibroblasts. It is a 22 kDa monomeric hematopoietic cytokine. GM-CSF-stimulated monocytes exhibit several anti-tumor behaviors. GM-CSF enhances the ability of macrophages to present antigen and initiate an immune response. It also stimulates monocytes to secrete large amounts of a soluble VEGF receptor, which binds to and inactivates VEGF.

The antibody is stable for at least 1 year from the date of receipt when stored at -20^°C to -70^°C. Reconstituted antibody can also be aliquotted and stored at 4^°C for 1 month or at -20^°C to -70^°C in a manual defrost freezer for many months without detectable loss activity. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

The antibody specifically detected protein derived from human. It also recognizes tested samples containing GM-CSF in both ELISA and WB. This antibody shows no cross-reactivity with other tested cytokines.
